Country music superstar Reba McEntire is wishing her son, Shelby Blackstock, a very happy 30th birthday on social media.

Blackstock, McEntire’s only child with former husband Narvel Blackstock, celebrated his 30th birthday just yesterday (Tuesday). The proud mother took to social media Tuesday to post a photo of her son as a newborn baby.

“So many great memories,” Reba McEntire says in the post’s caption space. “Happy Birthday Shelby! Love, Mom.”

The famous country music singer and songwriter has more than 2 million followers on Instagram. Her happy birthday social media post drew more than 44,000 “likes” and hundreds of comments. Many of McEntire’s social media followers used the post’s comment section to also wish Shelby a happy 30th birthday.

Blackstock is a professional racecar driver with a budding race career taking off for him. He began racing cars in college and even went to the Bob Bondurant school of racing. Blackstock made his first significant racing appearances in 2010 and 2011, entering the Skip Barber competition.

He made his professional debut in 2011 driving a Ford Mustang in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge. He also finished fifth in the 2011 Skip Barber National Championship.

Reba McEntire Starring in New Hit Comedy Movie

McEntire has been a busy lady as of late and even made a cameo in hit comedy movie “Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar.” She says playing Trish, a “water spirit,” in the movie was a lot of fun even for just a brief cameo.

“I’m not advertised as being in the movie. It’s been this secret,” she says in an interview with USA Today. “But afterward my friends were texting me saying, ‘I knew you were going to be Trish.’ That was icing on the cake for me.”

The “Little Rock” and “The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia” singer says she laughed out loud reading the script.

“I just wanted to know where, when, and what am I going to wear?” she says. “I was so ready and excited to do it.

McEntire, now 65-years-old, has plenty of acting experience. She has starred in hit horror movie “Tremors” and in her own sitcom “Reba.”
