When you have a triple-album box set coming out, you gotta take time to “sit” back and relax. Reba McEntire knows all about that. With her Revived, Remixed, Revisited, album coming out later this year, Reba is fairly busy. She took the time to share a throwback pic on social media.

Over the course of her career, Reba and her fire-red hair have been in all kinds of ads and television appearances. She shared a yellow-themed photo on Twitter to celebrate Throwback Thursday.

The throwback picture shows Reba in a yellow outfit lounging in quite a chair. With yellow diamond patterns over beige background, the chair screams the 1990s. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t like the aesthetic though and the country music legend looks great in the photo.

With her new albums coming out, Reba McEntire is likely doing a lot of thinking about old times. Across all three albums, all the songs are new renditions of old classics. However, there will be a new duet with Dolly Parton as well. When you have a catalog the size of hers, there is no telling what might be featured. Getting to see more old pictures like the one she posted today is going to be a real treat if she continues to post them. Fans love a good retro photo.

Reba McEntire and Dave Cobb Team Up

While there are three albums coming out, one features the work of legendary producer Dave Cobb. During his career, Cobb has produced so many great contemporary country albums. Working previously with Sturgill Simpson, Chris Stapleton, and more modern stars, the producer is known for breaking the music down to its basic parts. For Revisited, Cobb slows Reba McEntire down for an experience like she hasn’t had recording before.

“When you work with somebody like Dave Cobb, who is a genius. He’s very laid back. And that’s what comes through in the ‘Revisited’ part,” Reba McEntire had to say about working with Cobb. With just a small and almost entirely acoustic band, Reba’s voice is made the star. With one song out from each album, fans have had a bit of a sneak peek at what the albums have in store.

Out right now, fans can listen to Consider Me Gone, originally a 2009 hit for Reba McEntire, the Revisited rendition is something fans will love. While it really is slowed down with just a light band sound behind her, it works. It is raw, real, and a great take on an already great song. Get excited, new Reba is just around the corner.
