Reba McEntire Shows off ‘Blinged Out’ Face Shield in New Selfie

One of the biggest days in country music starts tonight when the CMAs premiere. It will feature countless performances from country artists and give awards for this year’s best acts, all the while braving the COVID-19 pandemic.

Reba McEntire will be cohosting the CMAs tonight with Darius Rucker. This will be her fifth time hosting the CMAs. She has also hosted the Academy of Country Music Awards 16 times.

A trained professional at being the comedic and entertaining forefront of an awards show, Reba has taken on the task of putting on a show during a pandemic.

Reba, an American country singer and actress, recently showed off her new blinged-out, red-carpet-ready face shield on her Instagram story.

She captioned her Instagram story photo with #BlingedOut. Not only does she have a clear face shield that’s bedazzled at the top, but she also has a white floral cloth face mask underneath.

The CMAs will have only performing artists in the audience. It is also moved to Music City Center instead of the usual Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

Reba Keeps Positive

Reba is approaching the pandemic with a sense of positivity that she hopes to reflect during the CMAs.

“It’s been hard on our crew, on our second families, our band, everybody we get to work with out on the road, the people we get to perform with on the road and also the venues. It’s hard on a lot of people and their families,” Reba said in an interview with Billboard. “But what you have to do to get through that is look at the great things you’ve gotten to do: I’ve fallen in love during the pandemic. I’ve had a blast with that … You just have to look on the bright side of the things you get to do.”

Despite the pandemic, Reba is ready to put on a performance. This includes performing Thomas Rhett’s “Be a Light,” a hope-inducing single that came out during the pandemic.

“We may be six feet apart, but a little social distancing hasn’t stopped @dariusrucker and I from getting ready for a great #cmaawards show tomorrow night!” Reba wrote on a recent Instagram post.

Tune into the CMAs at 8 p.m. ET.
