The holiday season may be long over, but not for country artist and legend Reba McEntire.

According to a press release, the Lifetime network has negotiated a deal with America’s favorite redhead in which she will be working on not one, but two Christmas films.  The first of the two, “Christmas in Tune,” will follow marketing executive Belle, who reunites her estranged parents for a Christmas charity concert. And, of course, it wouldn’t be a Lifetime movie without its main star finding romance along the way.

While the network hasn’t announced the movie’s release date and additional casting, they did confirm that it will be apart of Lifetime’s annual “It’s a Wonderful Lifetime” programming.  Additionally, the film will include a new holiday song by McEntire.

Reba McEntire Returns To The Network That Gave Singer Start On TV

“Reba has been a creative force in both music and television for many years. We are thrilled to have her on board to produce and star in not just one — but two movies for us,” Tanya Lopez, EVP of Movies, Limited Series & Original Movie Acquisitions, Lifetime and LMN said in a statement. She added: “Reba has been part of Lifetime’s air many years ago and we can’t wait to welcome her back!”

McEntire also commented, adding that she’s “thrilled” to team up with Lifetime on the projects “for a return to television movies.”

“My fans and I enjoy their programming and loved watching the ‘Reba’ show there for so many years,” said the singer.

It seems like everyone wants the “Fancy” singer on their television shows. CBS recently announced they had booked McEntire to reprise her role on the sitcom “Young Sheldon.” On Feb. 25, McEntire revealed the news on her social media accounts. And the show aired the next night.  “June’s back! Don’t miss her return to Young Sheldon tomorrow night at 8/7c on CBS!” McEntire wrote, adding the hashtag #YoungSheldon.

McEntire first appeared as June in February of 2020. Her character, the “fun, fiery ex-wife of Coach Ballard, struck up a friendship with Meemaw, who is now dating Ballard. In addition to her appearance on “Young Sheldon,” McEntire’s acting credits include 11 films, an on-stage role on Broadway on Annie Get Your Gun, a sitcom titled “Malibu Country,” and, of course, her six-season run as the star of her hit series, “Reba.”
