Country legend Reba McEntire just posted an exciting new teaser, showcasing her acting chops on CBS’s Young Sheldon.

In the clip, Reba plays a hairdresser who gives some sound advice about doing things for yourself sometimes and pursuing your own dreams. Unfortunately, her advice is so good that her client says “I don’t need a haircut anymore” and walks out.
Everyone in the comments is excited to see the country star make her return to television.

Reba McEntire’s Acting Career
While McEntire is perhaps known best for her vocals, her acting career is extensive. Her first film role was in the 1990 comedy-horror film Tremors. After the film’s release, McEntire gained a passion for acting and incorporated it into her career, featuring in many TV shows and movies and even debuting two of her own.
Reba McEntire was initially cast as Molly Brown in James Cameron’s The Titanic. Unfortunately, when it became clear filming was going to take longer than anticipated, McEntire had to drop from the film due to prior music engagements. The role then went to Kathy Bates.
In the 2000s, McEntire continued to act and then premiered a half-hour television sitcom on the WB network called Reba. The show was met with critical acclaim and was the network’s highest-rated show for people aged between 18 and 49. The show earned McEntire a golden globe nomination and lasted a successful six seasons.
McEntire has also been on broadway. She starred in the Broadway revival of Annie Get Your Gun as Annie Oakley. Her performance as Annie Oakley was critically acclaimed. The New York Times said of her performance that it was “Without qualification the best performance by an actress in a musical comedy this season. Ms. McEntire doesn’t need a gun to bring Manhattan to its knees.”
