Reba McEntire’s Former Nashville Mansion Listed for Vrbo Rental for $3300 a Night

by Jennifer Shea

Country superstar Reba McEntire lived in a mansion outside Nashville with eight bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a pool, horse stables and tennis courts. And now you can rent it on Vrbo for $3300 a night.

McEntire bought the lakefront estate in Lebanon, Tennessee in 1990, per CMT. She sold it five years ago to Nashville businessman Deron Lichte. The place is now known as the Estate at Cherokee Dock.

It’s a high-priced event space with themed bedrooms honoring McEntire, Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline, Willie Nelson, Garth Brooks and Johnny Cash.

The estate is historic, dating back six decades. And the scenic property spans 83 acres. Country musicians Hannah Ellis and Nick Wayne recently got married there.

Besides the 16-stall horse stables, the mansion also comes with a five-stall barn, a spa, a hot tub, an elevator and an eight-car garage. McEntire put it all up for sale in 2016 at an asking price of $7.9 million. She sold it the following year for $5 million.

Reba McEntire Built a Different Kind of House for Families in Crisis

But perhaps more impressive than her Lebanon mansion is Reba’s Ranch House, McEntire’s Texoma house for caregivers with a family member in a hospital nearby. The house stays open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Texoma Health Foundation (THF), an independent public foundation, manages it.

The house is open to “anyone who need[s] a place to stay while they had loved ones in the hospital,” McEntire explains on the house’s website. “Many folks traveling, who lived many miles away from their family member, would wind up on the hospital waiting room floors or in a chair in the patient’s room. The Reba’s Ranch House was a place for those folks to get a good night’s sleep, a home cooked meal and a very compassionate ear to listen to their worries and concerns.”

“Nothing makes you feel better than a warm supper, a prayer, a nice bed and kindness,” the singer adds. “That was our wish for Reba’s Ranch House. It’s still our hope and prayer for the world today. This is a great community.  I love it and all the people who I’ve meet during my years there.”

THF serves four counties in the Texoma region. So many guests find Reba’s Ranch House through one of the hospitals in those four counties. McEntire cut the ribbon on the facility in 1992. Since then, the house has helped more than 35,000 families.

For those envying her expansive mansion, Reba’s Ranch House offers proof that McEntire thinks of others and not just herself. Meanwhile, it seems apt that the Estate at Cherokee Dock, which McEntire lived in with her now ex-husband Narvel Blackstock, is currently a site for weddings and other happy events.
