After saying “I do” in 2013, country singers Rodney Atkins and Rose Falcon took their union to a higher level. Instead of working as two separate artists, they joined forces. They are now a Nashville singing couple aptly named Rod + Rose. And according to Rodney, they’re finally recording an album together.
Rodney Atkins and his wife have recorded a few singles since becoming a professional duo. Much of their work was reimagined from their solo careers. But they have written some new tunes together. Rose and Rodney’s record will include a list of new hits. And the self-titled studio album should release early next year. Rodney’s record label, Curb, is backing the project.
Rodney broke the great news yesterday on his Twitter page.
“We’re stoked to FINALLY announce that we’ll be releasing our new EP, “Rod + Rose”, January 28th!” he wrote. “Starting Friday, you can pre-order the @RodandRoseMusic EP and receive a new song while you’re at it. Can’t wait for y’all to hear this project: https://RodRose.lnk.to/RodRose //“
Rodney Atkins is a Music City veteran. The Farmer’s Daughter singer dropped his first album, Honestly, in 1997. Since then, he has released 6 number one Billboard hits and one platinum record.
Rose Falcon has spent most of her career lending backup vocals and songwriting skills to county superstars. Throughout the years, she has worked with award-winning singers such as Faith Hill, Lady A, and Jesse James. She also sang on Rodney’s 2019 Caught Up in the Country album.
Rodney Atkins and Cody Johnson are Releasing New Albums
The country crooner has been building anticipation for Human the Double since June. He liked to give his social media followers hints about all the upcoming tracks—which only made the wait more painful. But yesterday, he was pleased to announce the record’s official release.
“It’s been a long time coming and I’m proud to finally give y’all my newest record, Human The Double Album,” Johnson announced. “I’m thankful for God giving me the talent and ability to make music. Also, thank you to my team, my family, and my fans for making this project possible. I couldn’t have done it without y’all!”
