Bryan spoke about The Big Concert for Small Business and shared his excitement for the concert. He said he’s honored to be able to play and to be able to raise awareness for small businesses.
“I am excited to be a part of Verizon’s The Big Concert for Small Business,” Bryan said. “Small businesses are such an important part of our communities. I was honored to participate in their Pay It Forward Live series back in March of 2020. We need to make sure we are continuing to support them, and I love that Verizon has stayed committed to raise awareness on their behalf.”
The Big Concert for Small Business will air on CBS Sports Network, CMT, MTV2, MTV Live, and BET starting at 11 p.m. EST. In addition, fans can also livestream the concert on Yahoo, Fios, or on Verizon’s social media accounts. Fans are also encouraged to donate to the cause and use the hashtag #BigConcertSmallBiz to tag their favorite small business during the event.
Eric Church Had Reservations About Singing National Anthem at Super Bowl
Eric Church recently opened up about his initial hesitation before accepting the opportunity to sing the national anthem.
The award-winning country artist admits it’s a difficult song to sing, and said he’s never had any desire to sing it. In fact, he thinks someone like fellow country star Chris Stapleton has a better vocal range to perform the anthem.
“And here’s what I said… I’ve said this forever, ‘I will never ever sing the national anthem.’ It’s so hard. Except the Super Bowl … I mean, I’m not Chris Stapleton. I fully assumed they’re never going to ask me. So, this is the first,” Church explained to Variety.
The 43-year-old Entertainer of the Year is teaming up with R&B star Jazmine Sullivan. Church acknowledges that he had not listened to her music before their proposed duet. However, he shared that he was blown away by Sullivan’s singing once he heard her.
“No, I’ve not met her yet. Let me tell you something. She may be the best singer, I was floored,” Church said of Sullivan. “And you know what, the best thing about this, no matter what happens, because that’s a nervy thing that we got to do, but what a fan, I’m a fan. I’ve went in and listened to everything she did. And I had heard her name, but full disclosure, I had not listened.”
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs will go head-to-head for the Lombardi Trophy at Super Bowl LV on Sunday, February 7.
