‘The Voice” is entering into live episodes now. No longer are the blind auditions and knockout rounds happening, but rather last night was the first night of live performances.

This means that the number of performers will slowly go down as voters choose who they want to stay with.

Team Blake has his own team of knockout artists, many of which, as he is known for, are country artists. One of which is the group called Worth the Wait. The group is a mother and daughter group. They performed “Love Is Alive” by the Judds last night.

The trio harmonized their way through the 1984 hit country music song from another mother-daughter group.

Worth the Wait contains teenagers Mia and Jacy as well as Tara, also known as “Mama T.”

Right now team Blake is made up of 10 different artists including Aaron Scott, Jim Ranger, John Sullivan, and Ben Allen. Worth The Wait is Shelton’s only non-solo artist.

‘The Voice’ Then and Now

The Voice allows duets and groups to enter the show. Many of them end up successful as well, offering something that many of the solo artists can’t. This is usually good chemistry and amazing harmonizing abilities.

The Swon Brothers were the first duet to ever make it into the live shows. They came in third place in season 4, yet are still successful today. They are CMA and ACM award nominees. The duo has most recently released their album “Nashlahoma” this year.

Most recently fans of “The Voice” are talking about the missing appearance of performer Ryan Gallagher who was on Kelly Clarkson’s team. According to Entertainment Weekly, the singer broke the show’s very strict COVID-19 protocols and therefore was asked to leave the show.

Filming the show live amidst rising cases will be an interesting situation. The possibility of more performers leaving could happen.

Tomorrow the results from last night and eliminations will be happening at 8 p.m. PT/ET.
