Today we’re remembering the time that Charlie Daniels’ barn burnt down.
The Charlie Daniels Band Instagram account shares this photo of the late singer in front of the structure. Daniels sits horseback, smiling in front of the barn in this black and white pic.
The captions reads, “ON THIS DAY in 2011, the over 30-year-old barn at Charlie’s Twin Pines Ranch burned to the ground, tragically taking with it several horses, a bull and some farm equipment.”
Presumably, Daniels is riding the horse that was lost that day. However, the story continues.

Just last month, a photo of Charlie Daniels was shared of him and fellow country singer, Chris LeDoux, at the ranch.
“ON THIS DAY in 1995, ‘A Wrangler Cowboy Christmas’ starring Chris LeDoux and Charlie, aired on TNN. The special was recorded at Charlie’s Twin Pines Ranch,” states the caption.
Daniels is riding an Appaloosa, while LeDoux is next to him on a sorel horse. The two look like they’re getting ready to film a scene for the Christmas special.
Six Month Anniversary of Charlie Daniels’ Death
It’s hard to believe that it’s been six months since the country music legend passed away. Charlie Daniels died on July 6, 2020. He was 83-years-old and suffered from a hemorrhagic stroke.
The social media account once again shares a photo of the late singer.
“We miss him every day, and will continue to honor and build on his legacy,” the caption reads.
Daniels is standing on the Grand Ol’ Opry stage, looking dapper as ever. He’s holding a guitar and presumably playing a hit song of his.
