Country singer Thomas Rhett appeared in a new Pandora video where he explains the story behind his new single “What’s Your Country Song.”
The official Pandora Twitter account sent out the video in a tweet on Thursday evening. In it, Rhett says that the song in “ode to all the country songs that helped him grow up.”

Rhett sent out a teaser video to his fans on social media yesterday. He posted a sneak preview of the music video for his brand new single “What’s Your Country Song.”
Rhett dropped a brief clip on Wednesday morning, on the release day for the new single. The 30-year-old shared the clip with a short caption.
“This year has taught us all how to slow down, it reminds us of our roots and has shifted our perspectives,” Rhett says. “A lot has changed but a lot has come full circle for me and my music. Excited to share ‘What’s Your Country Song’ – the first single off the next record – out everywhere now at link in bio.”
The 30-year-old also reveals that the official video drops on Friday, November 13 at 10 a.m. on YouTube.
Meanwhile, in the Instagram video, he provides a voice-over on the preview. He touches on how 2020 has impacted everyone, and how the year’s challenges impacted him personally.
“So much of life is spent looking forward-thinking about what’s next,” he said. “This year has forced me to slow down. It’s forced us all to slow down. A change of pace, a change of perspective. If you love country music like I do then you know exactly what I’m talking about.”
