Thomas Rhett Has Spent the Pandemic with His Family
Rhett and his family where at a beach bonfire with Tyler Hubbard of Florida-Georgia Line and his wife hosted by Lady A’s Charles Kelley and his wife this weekend, and the singer has spent most of his time with the fam during COVID-19 run on the world.
Initially, Rhett missed life on the road and playing concerts. He admitted in an interview with Country Now that he started to go a little stir crazy. But he realized he would get to spend more time with his family
“Honestly, it’s just been such a blessing in disguise, this whole year,” Rhett said. “I would say the first 30, 40 days into quarantine I was kinda losing my mind, going, ‘I need to play a show. I need to write a song, I need to do something’. And then one day my wife looked at me. And she said, ‘Honey, you’re not gonna play a show this year. You just need to let it be and relax and be with our family.”
Rhett is thankful for the time together because he said his three children are growing fast. Together, the family went to both Montana and to a beach trip in Florida.
“It’s been really amazing to get to spend this much quality time with my kids. And this is the most nights in a row I’ve ever gotten to put ‘em to bed and wake up with ‘em. And it’s been absolutely amazing just to get to watch them grow up,” he shares. “So, as crazy and weird as this year has been, that is definitely a silver lining. Just gettin’ to watch my kids grow and gettin’ to really be intentional with my wife.”
