Legendary country singer Tim McGraw is going viral after sharing a hysterical throwback to the 90s – and it’s a doozy.

McGraw, 53, continues to bless his Instagram followers. His latest? A photo from 1994 in which the man himself sports a greased mullet underneath a baseball cap the likes of which we’ve never seen.

“Boy…..1994 was a long time ago!!!” the country star captions his reveal. And what a reveal it is.

Tim McGraw blesses the internet with mullet’tastic throwback:

For context, the star no longer rocks said mullet… or a baseball cap. He’s given up the once-trademark country hairstyle for a much cleaner cut. The colorful baseball cap is gone, as well – replaced with the only country trademark stronger than an old-school mullet: the cowboy hat.

He is still, however, quite fond of a white t-shirt. And apparently, McGraw ages like a fine wine. That, or the mullet was truly as terrible as it looked. Most likely, it’s both.

Instagram lights up McGraw’s Mullet

Funnily enough, Blake Shelton recently shared a throwback of himself sporting a mullet, as well. They truly were all the rage for country singers and fans in the 1990s. And just as was the case with Shelton – stars are absolutely lighting up McGraw on Instagram over it:

“We were running hard and in our prime if my memory serves me well,” former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Farve ponders.

“Oh man we woulda been trouble together in 94’ brother,” follows fellow country music singer Mark Wystrach.

Another country music star, Chris Lane, simply dubs McGraw as a “Legend” for the post.

The best of the bunch, however, comes from a fan – and not a fellow star. “BUT DID YOU HAVE A BBQ STAIN ON YOUR WHITE T SHIRT,” the fan slams out in all caps. The question is, of course, a reference to the infamous lyric in McGraw’s song “Something Like That”.

His shirt, it seems, remained stainless. And this photo – in turn – remains priceless.
