Workout inspiration can come in many different forms, but for Tim McGraw he doesn’t have to look any further than his wife.

The country music icon’s a fitness buff. McGraw frequently shows off his physique on social media, as well as meals and workouts that get him into tip-top shape. However, he’s revealing the driving force behind his fitness obsession.

McGraw confesses that he hits the weights a little harder on the days his wife, Faith Hill, is cooking in the kitchen, Pop Culture reports.

“When Faith’s cooking, I sort of work out harder that day when I know she’s cooking something good,” McGraw says. “So, I’ll try to earn it.”

Additionally, the 53-year-old says that he’s been increasing his workouts for the anticipated renter of his “Here on Earth Tour.” The tour was set to begin in July. However, it was postponed because of the pandemic.

“I’m hardheaded so it’s hard for me to sit still very long, so I have to do something most the time,” says McGraw. “I was actually getting geared up and starting to really pick my workouts up because we were getting ready to go into rehearsals and getting ready for the tour coming in July. So, I had been picking my workouts up until all this happened. And then I couldn’t say I slacked off, but I’ve taken it a little easier and taken a few days off, more than I usually do.”

One of McGraw’s favorite dishes to indulge in is Faith’s fried chicken. It’s a dish that she’s been cooking quite often during the coronavirus pandemic.

“Faith makes great fried chicken, so we’ve had fried chicken quite a few times and I make the mashed potatoes,” he said. “We’ve had fried chicken and mashed potatoes quite a few times, and she makes the best-roasted chicken that you can possibly imagine. And I make a pretty dang good country fried steak.”

McGraw admits that he is human and does get cravings for different types of food all the time. However, the singer stays on the wagon and fulfills them with healthy options.

“I love a great cheeseburger,” he admits. “I mean, I’m a cheeseburger fanatic, but now it’s more turkey burgers than a real cheeseburger every now and then.”

McGraw shares some of the dishes he prepares on Instagram. Like in this post he writes, “I’m cooking dinner tonight!
