Tim McGraw reminded us what’s most important this Thanksgiving: being with family.

It was a necessary tweet, considering Thanksgiving is bound to look a little different this year as the world copes with the coronavirus.

On Tuesday morning, McGraw tweeted out, “I know Thanksgiving looks a little different for a lot of us this year. Let’s take care of each other and remember what’s most important in life…. The ones we share it with.”

Despite the unfortunate circumstances surrounding the holiday, many of his followers agreed with McGraw that being together is really all that matters.

Lastly, he finished the tweet with a play on words adding, “Everything else is gravy.”

He released his music video for the heartwarming song, “Gravy” via the tweet. Throughout the video, McGraw and his family share sweet moments, including his wife, Faith Hill. The peek into their home videos reminds us of the importance of spending time with one another.

The lyrics speak to McGraw’s cherished values: “If I can hug my kids and kiss my wife, live one more day in this crazy life, lay my body down and hold my baby, I know the good Lord’ll save me, everything else is gravy.”

An official lyric video for “Gravy” was dropped on Aug. 21, following his most recent album, Hear on Earth. He teased his fans with a video clip of “Gravy” back in August, but it wasn’t until today that we got the full edition.

The music video for “Gravy” couldn’t come at a better time. Many Americans are searching for healing after the tumultuous election coupled with the ongoing pandemic. The way the video effortlessly pulls at the viewer’s heartstrings reminds us of what to hold onto during this chaotic moment in time: each other.
