The country crooner sent a request to his fans in April to send in people who are making a difference amid the global pandemic. The #HowDoYouLikeUsNow feature was created. His responses seemed to have piled up with numerous frontline workers and everyday people being featured.

Meet Jessica

Jessica is an essential grocery store employee. Instead of spending her stimulus check on herself, she spent the money on goods for others. She created gift baskets for the elderly in her town. She delivered the boxes straight to their doors.

Meet Staff Sergeant Taylor

After U.S. Air Force Staff Sergeant Taylor discovered the face mask mandate, she stepped into action. She taught herself how to sew and use a sewing machine to create face masks. She bought the materials with her own money and distributed them to her fellow public health-workers.

“Thank you, Staff Sergeant Taylor, for your commitment to your community and our country,” Keith wrote.

Meet a Command Surgeon

“Debbie nominated her son for his sacrifice in the battle against Covid-19, and he’s the perfect person to honor this Father’s Day,” Keith wrote. “He’s a Command Surgeon stationed at an overseas military installation. She said, ‘He recently flew back to the states for the birth of his third child, a boy, and two weeks later returned to his base to resume his fight and leadership efforts in preventing/treating/coordinating the battle against the Coronavirus. He can’t tell us much, but we know he is working long hours ensuring the well being and military readiness of his community.’ Thank you for your sacrifice for our country!

Meet Rita

Rita is the manager of the infectious disease department at Spectrum Health Lakeland. The hospital has been spearheading the hospital’s efforts against COVID-19. “To say she has the weight of the world on her shoulders right now is an understatement,” her friend Rosalinda said. “She wasn’t able to see Toby’s show in Jonesboro, AR as planned a few weeks ago, but hopefully she will be at the rescheduled date in 2021. Thank you for all you’re doing and your support of Toby!”
