Toby Keith has us grinning after he posted an adorable yet hilarious Thanksgiving message on Twitter.

The country superstar wrote, “Thanksgiving may look a little different this year, but hope this is what y’all look like after dinner tonight.”

He also made sure to show his gratitude for healthcare workers who’ve worked tirelessly during the coronavirus pandemic. “Giving extra thanks to those on the frontlines keeping everyone safe. Happy #Thanksgiving.”

In the photo, Keith is sitting in a recliner holding an adorable baby (we’re not sure if it’s one of his children). They’re both passed out asleep in the chair, likely from enjoying their Thanksgiving meal. It’s a genuinely tender moment.

Toby Keith’s Thanksgiving Halftime Show

In 2003, Keith performed at the Dallas Cowboy’s Thanksgiving halftime concert celebration in Irving, Texas. Keith sang from the stage as the famous Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders performed alongside him. In addition, other dancers covered the field as they created one giant line dance.

As usual, Keith made sure to show his admiration for the troops. During the performance, he made sure to show his patriotism by saluting the troops. Just eight months prior the United States invaded Iraq. The setlist included hits such as “Beer For My Horses”, “How Do You Like Me Now!” and “Courtesy Of The Red, White And Blue (The Angry American).”

Since 1966, The Dallas Cowboys have played on Thanksgiving every year but two. The halftime show has drawn in millions of viewers every year. The performance kicks off the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle campaign.

Keith is a fan of the campaign, saying, “I’ve seen the Salvation Army in action, and I can tell you the work they do is amazing — they have made a tremendous difference in the lives of so many people in need,” Keith said.
