Travis Tritt called out people that are complaining about the state of America.
What Travis Tritt Had to Say
The country crooner spoke about those who threaten to leave the country based on who gets elected into office.
“If you are negatively commenting on the USA from an outside country, I have a message for you,” he tweeted on Saturday (September 26). “We may have done a little bit of fighting amongst ourselves, but you outside people best leave us alone. @CharlieDaniels“
“I’m thinking that the USA must be a pretty decent place when those who obviously hate this country keep threatening to leave, but never do,” he added.

How John Legend Is Involved
Tritt’s comments follow pop singer John Legend’s comments about leaving the country. Legend spoke with Cosmpolitan U.K. about the presidential re-election.
“Every once in a while you think about it,” he said, of moving out of the country. “We were born and raised here, all of our families are here. It would be hard to leave. But I don’t know what one’s supposed to do when you have a leader who is trying to destroy democracy.”
“At some point, if that project [to destroy democracy] was to be in any way successful, you’d have to think about going somewhere that is a true democracy, that has respect for the rule of law and human rights,” he added.
“If America chooses to be that place then people will have to start thinking about going somewhere else. It is truly disturbing and concerning,” Legend concluded.
Travis’ Previous Comments
Ironically, Tritt previously spoke about celebrities speaking about politics. He asked that celebrities not speak about their political beliefs.
During the 2017 Golden Globes, Meryl Streep called out Trump. Shortly after her speech, Tritt got on Twitter to share his beliefs.
“Advice to all actors, musicians and entertainers: Please stick to your crafts that we all love you for and drop the political rhetoric,” he wrote. “Nobody cares or wants to hear what any celebrities have to say about politics. Do your craft and leave politics to the politicians.”
