There’s nothing like striking up a new friendship. Travis Tritt is a friendly guy and now he’s adding a new friendship to his circle.
The “T.R.O.U.B.L.E.” singer snapped a pic with comedian Theo Vonn. Tritt shares the photo on Instagram. Tritt writes in the caption, “I was so thrilled to hang with and create a new friendship with @theovon yesterday.”
The two men stand with their arms around one another. Vonn is sporting a Travis Tritt original, and we mean mullet at that. Tritt’s hair isn’t quite shaped into the mullet that he used to have. The “real Travis Tritt,” as he writes in his bio, also includes a second photo that features his wife sandwiched between him and Vonn.
The pics have garnered more than three-thousand “likes” within the first five hours of it being shared. Fans fill the comments with their thoughts on this new friendship.
“My favorite comedian and my favorite country musician growing up this will be beautiful!” writes this person. “Couple of real hittas right there,” shares this commenter.
What’s more, this fans comments on Tritt’s performance the previous night before. “Travis you were bad ass on the Grand Ole Opry last night.”
Travis Tritt Takes Grand Ole Opry Stage Saturday Night for Benefit Concert
Tritt, along with Chris Janson and Hailey Whitters, took the Grand Ole Opry stage last night to raise money. These artists performed during a telethon to help raise money to feed people that have been affected by the extreme weather the country has seen this month, as well as those that are facing food insecurity because of the pandemic.
Gray Television partnered with the Grand Ole Opry and Circle TV to raise these proceeds that benefit Feeding America.
What’s more, Tritt debuted one of his new songs, “Smoke In a Bar,” off his new album. Tritt and Janson also paid tribute to the late Waylon Jennings. The two country music artists performed “Are You Sure Hank Done It This Way.”
New Music From Tritt in Over a Decade
Believe it or not, but Travis Tritt hasn’t released a new album since 2007’s The Storm. But now, the singer-songwriter is returning to his original sound, with a flair of outlaw attitude, on his new record Set in Stone. The project features 11 songs, 8 of them Tritt wrote on.
Tritt released a single from the album last year, but fans can expect the full length album to drop May 7.
