Trisha Yearwood Hops on New Hailey Whitters Track, ‘How Far Can It Go?’

by Evan Reier

While Trisha Yearwood, unfortunately, had to cancel her immediate plans due to a positive COVID-19 test among her staff, she can still say she dropped a new song with country singer/songwriter Hailey Whitters.

For those who aren’t familiar with Whitters, they probably should be. The 31-year-old has songwriting credits for Alan Jackson and Little Big Town, and released “The Dream” in 2020, her second album.

Yearwood can only be described as a country music legend at this point in her career, and the two complement each other well on their new track, “How Far Can It Go?”

Whitters’ new track came out on February 12, with the country performer bubbling with excitement. This is perhaps best evidenced by her announcement tweet.

“new song out today with @trishayearwood and I am officially dead/made it/going home now [emojis] DREAMS COME TRUE Y’ALL.”

Honestly, we can’t help but smile when reading that. We can’t imagine how it feels to be a rising star in the country music scene, but to work with Trisha Yearwood too? It’s got to be surreal.

Speaking of Yearwood, she responded to Whitters’ tweet with an equally sweet message.

“I loved singing with you @haileywhitters! Congrats on today! xoxo your pal Trisha”

The clip above shares a snippet from the chorus of the song:

How far can it go?
How long will it last?
She’s got her eyes on forever
He’s got his foot on the gas
Can’t stop two hearts from fallin’ down like dominoes
Heads are shakin’, preacher prayin’, mama sayin’
Hеy, how far can it go?

Trisha Yearwood, Garth Brooks Quarantining

As mentioned above, Trisha Yearwood and longtime husband Garth Brooks are currently quarantining after a positive test appeared in their respective camps.

Both Brooks and Yearwood posted the update on Twitter, with slight changes fitting to their accounts.

“Due to someone on their team testing positive for Covid-19 and out of an abundance of caution,  Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood are cancelling everything and testing and quarantining for two weeks. -Team Garth”

This led to the duo missing their guest-hosting spot on The Ellen Degeneres Show, which was a Valentine’s Day special episode.
