As of right now, life is everything that country music star Blake Shelton and his new wife, Gwen Stefani, could have hoped for.
The two stars officially tied the knot back on July 3 during their wedding. However, it wasn’t quite the elaborate and glamorous ceremony you’d expect from two of the most famous people in the United States. It took place at Blake Shelton’s ranch in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. The happy couple kept it small, with approximately just 40 close family members and friends attending the wedding. That number, of course, includes Stefani’s sons (with ex Gavin Rossdale), Kingston, 15, Zuma, 12, and Apollo, 7.
And as for the honeymoon, Shelton and Stefani are going to skip that for now. They instead opted to return to their home in Los Angeles to get back to their careers. But they did take some time to perform together at Ole Red — a bar that Shelton owns in Tishomingo. The free concert was definitely a treat to behold for all of Shelton’s hometown country music fans.

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s Wedding Was ‘Everything They Wanted’
Even though they kept their circle tight, the magical night for two of music’s biggest stars was everything they dreamed it would be.
After the wedding ceremony itself had concluded, the newlyweds made way to their wedding reception, which was also held at Shelton’s Oklahoma ranch. It was there the couple excitedly cut their five-tier wedding cake and danced the night away to a playlist by DJ Lucy Wrubel. Some songs on the playlist were hits by the couple’s famous friends, including but not limited to Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Kelly Clarkson, and Maroon 5.
A source in the music industry told People Magazine that the night “couldn’t have been better.”
“It was everything they wanted — family, friends, dancing, the beauty and familiarity of Oklahoma surroundings, and lots of love and laughter. It couldn’t have been better.”
Adding to the list of good news, even the weather cooperated for Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s big day.
Meanwhile, the source for People said that Gwen was nervous prior to getting married. She and Shelton have been dating for six years — ever since meeting while working on The Voice together in 2014. Their relationship came after each star had gone through difficult divorces from Rossdale and country singer Miranda Lambert, respectively.
“They talked about how they already felt married before the wedding, but when the day arrived, Gwen was still giddy and a bit nervous. It was an emotional ceremony for both of them.”
Now that they have officially said “I do,” Shelton and Stefani are ready to start their lives together.
“They seem extremely happy. They are both inspired with their lives in every way.”
