Country artists Dan + Shay are giving back this holiday season by partnering with Safe Haven Family Shelter to give three homeless families in Nashville a place to call home.

Dan + Shay are taking the nice list to a whole new level. The duo has teamed up with Safe Haven Family Shelter and Ashley HomeStore to give three families that have never had a home the gift they desperately need in the cold winter months.

In a post from earlier this month, the artist gave these thankful families beautiful homes, and their reactions are heartwarming, to say the least. Tears were shed. Screams of joy were let out, and hugs and presents were exchanged.

Dan + Shay Comment on the Experience

Under the video, Dan + Shay wrote about what this experience meant for them.

“This was the highlight of our year. With the help of our friends at Safe Haven Family Shelter and Ashley HomeStore, we were able to provide homes and furniture to three families who have never had homes before (yes, how about that for perspective). Seeing the look on their faces when they walked in the door was something we’ll never forget and reminded us of all the blessings we can take for granted, especially this holiday season as the weather turns cold.”

The country artists also shared a humbling story of resilience and a sense of gratitude for everything we take for granted in our lives. Dan + Shay added their thanks for their plethora of dedicated fans, as well.

“We also got to start the day by singing songs at the shelter, and that reminded us how truly powerful music can be. These families have been through SO much, but seeing the children sing and dance with us was EVERYTHING. Thanks to all of you who have supported our career over the years and given us the platform to make an impact like this. Whether you know it or not, you are responsible for changing lives (including ours) and helping those in need. Much love and happy holidays.”

Santa also came early by leaving a few presents under a decorated tree, serving all the Christmas jolly feels.

Take Me Home For Christmas– No, Not Us.

In November, Dan + Shay released their Christmas album for excited fans everywhere, titled, Take Me Home For Christmas. Earlier this month, the single found itself in the number one position.

The album also features holiday classics such as “I’ll Be Home for Christmas,” as well as “O Holy Night,” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” which were performed live.
