Country music singer Dierks Bentley shared a proud dad moment with his followers when he posted a clip on Instagram.

In the video, his youngest son, Knox, is skiing down the picturesque Colorado slopes. Even though he’s only 7-years-old, he proved he’s way past the bunny slopes when he performed an impressive jump.

In October, Bentley swapped desert for mountains when he packed up his family and moved to Colorado.

As the pandemic ramped up along with unprecedented restrictions, the Bentley family decided to take a vacation to the Rocky Mountain state. Albeit, after falling in love with Colorado, the family decided to put down roots.

“I went out there with my family for Spring Break in March and just never left,” the Arizona native says. “I put my kids in school out there and we just kind of moved.”

Even though he returned to Nashville a few times for work, Bentley says he enjoys every opportunity to bond with his wife, Cassidy, and daughters Evelyn “Evie,” 12, and Jordan, 9, and son Knox, 7.

“I’m making up for lost time with my family,” he says. “It’s been 18 years now of touring and being gone every weekend. Now I’m somewhere I can ride bikes with my kids to school. I put a camper on the back of my 1994 Chevy and we go camping almost every weekend.”

On Instagram, it’s obvious the family is enjoying their new, colder digs. Bentley also posted clips of their family dogs frolicking in the snow along with a clip of a ‘date day’ with his wife, which included cross country skiing.

In an interview with People, Bentley said a move out west is something he has “always wanted to do,” and that he’s always been drawn to the Centennial State.

Two years ago, he released his album The Mountain, which he wrote and recorded in Colorado. In 2018, the “Burning Man” singer was inspired by the Rocky Mountains, which led him to launch his Seven Peaks Music Festival in Buena Vista, Colorado.
