Laine Hardy Christmas Cover Out Now

Hardy’s performance of the Eagles original is now available for fans everywhere. The music video for “Please Come Home for Christmas” shows the “American Idol” alum sitting by a fireplace, playing the guitar.

Hardy hopes the nostalgia of the video puts people in the Christmas spirit.

“I’ve always had the Eagles version of this song on my playlists during the holidays,” Hardy said according to Sounds Like Nashville. “Especially with everything going on right now, there are going to be a lot of people missing family and loved ones this Christmas. So I wanted to make my own version of the song, and hope it lifts people up this year.”

Furthermore, Hardy released his debut single this year, “Tiny Town.” The song is about celebrating small town life.

Louisiana Native Wins ‘American Idol’

Lane Hardy didn’t give up when he was turned away from “American Idol” in 2018. He was recognized by the judges when he was playing guitar for a friend of his that was auditioning for the talent show. The judges didn’t let Hardy leave without singing first, and from there he went on to winning season 2 (also known as season 17).

Fast forward a few years, and Hardy’s putting out music, including the Christmas cover, “Please Come Home for Christmas.”
