Even though New Year’s Even may look a little different this year, LeAnn Rimes is here to save the night. On Instagram, the Chant singer got her followers pumped up when she posted a clip of herself rehearsing for her upcoming NYE performance.

“Markin’ it! Rehearsing for @nyeonfox, tomorrow night on @foxtv. I’ll be taking you all the way back with the 20th anniversary mix of #cantfightthemoonlight and also performing my new song #throwmyarmsaroundtheworld! Don’t miss it”

In the clip, a bright and bubbly Rimes dances around the room as she lip synches her early 2000s anthem, “Can’t Fight the Moonlight.” Written by Diane Warren and recorded by Rimes, the record was the theme song of Coyote Ugly. Released in 2000, Rimes will give fans a nostalgic performance during FOX’s New Year’s Eve Toast & Roast 2021.

LeAnn Rimes To Perform New, Emotional Song During NYE Performance

In addition to the timeless female ballad, the newly crowned “Masked Singer” winner is also set to perform her new song, “Throw My Arms Around The World.” A song, Rimes says, she is more connected with than any of her previous music.

“I don’t think I’ve ever been more connected to the music I’m creating ever in my career than at this moment,” says Rimes during an interview.

The Grammy-winning singer says that she cannot listen to the song without feeling its emotion.

“I can’t listen to it without crying and dancing, all at the same time,” she says. “It’s so powerful. I’m just so blessed and grateful that I was a conduit for this message to come through,” says Rimes.

In addition to Rimes, other performances include Gloria Estefan, Ava Max, Gabby Barrett, Green Day, and John Legend.

There will also be celebrity appearances by Cheyenne Jackson, Jane Krakowski, Leslie Jordan, Mayim Bialik, Morris Chestnut, Randy Jackson, Tim Allen, and Tom Payne.

Comedians Ken Jeong and Joel McHale will commemorate the past year from coast-to-coast with a live, three-and-a-half-hour “Toast & Roast” to 2020 beginning at 7 p.m. CST.
