Watch: Luke Bryan Reveals Wife’s Favorite Song from ‘Born Here Live Here Die Here’

Luke Bryan reveals his wife Caroline’s favorite song from his new album is “Down to One.” Bryan said she’s a fan of his more upbeat and happy songs.

The country singer released his new album Born Here Live Here Die Here in August 2020. The song ‘Down to One’ featured as a single on the album and is a love song. The song explores the start of a relationship between two people. In the song, the guy tries to find the courage to kiss the girl. Bryan said the song is typical of the type he has sung throughout his career.

“‘Down to One’ is a real like typical song of mine that you kind of expect from me from the years,” Bryan said. “The first time I heard it, it’s written by one of my dear friends Dallas Davidson who I’ve had a lot of success with co-writing through the years. It just sounds like a big ol’ hit. Guy and girl out there in the middle of nowhere enjoying a moment together. A romantic moment. And I always feel like you got to have those on an album.”

In a separate interview, Bryan explained why Caroline loved the song so much. She enjoys listening to fun and upbeat songs rather than sad music.

“She always wants me to put out fun songs,” Bryan told Taste of Country Nights. “She’s like, ‘Nobody wants to hear a bunch of sad, depressing stuff. Put fun, fun, fun.’ She’s always the champion of fun and dancing.”

Bryan delayed the release of his album by four months due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Initially, he planned to tour to promote the album, but for now, those plans are on hold due to the virus. According to The Tennessean, Bryan was hesitant about releasing the album but decided people could use a little fun.

Caroline and Bryan’s two children are also a fan of his song “One Margarita” and ask him to repeatedly play it. Sometimes, his family can be his biggest supporters and critics.

“That feedback is a lot different than publishers, record people — let’s just say the well can get tainted,” Bryan said. “But with your children, they’ll insult me and not even realize.”
