Country star Luke Bryan and his family didn’t just dress up for Halloween. They got interactive to celebrate the October holiday dressed as American Gladiators.

Some of you may remember the popular competition television program from the 1990s. From 1989 to 1996, the classic show paired amateur competitors against the show’s beastly gladiators. The contestants each took part in a series of challenges while facing off against body builder-like gladiators. They competed in events such as the Joust, Powerball, Hang Tough, and the fan-favorite Assault.

However, Luke Bryan’s family made up their own American Gladiators‘ obstacle course for Halloween. They each wore American flag-inspired costumes similar to the gladiators on the show. And the Bryans rented some huge bouncy houses and other blow-up equipment for their own epic competition.

Luke Bryan’s wife, Caroline Bryan, shared a two-minute video on Instagram that showed plenty of the family’s fun. The crew had multiple obstacles for their Halloween competition. In fact, they even had a jousting event similar to the one on American Gladiators.

“When you’re the crazy family that everyone wonders about…That’s us! American Gladiators for the day. Happy Halloween everyone!” Luke Bryan’s wife wrote on Instagram along with a pumpkin, American flag, and weight lifter emojis.

Luke Bryan Isn’t the Only Country Star To Go All Out for Halloween

As you can imagine, Luke Bryan isn’t the only country music star that went all out for Halloween this year. Indeed the Bryan family had some competition for best Halloween costumes, and it came from Bryan’s good friend and fellow country singer Jason Aldean.

On Sunday, Aldean shared an amazing clip of he and his wife, Brittany, dressed as country icons Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton for Halloween. They definitely went the extra mile when they took their costumes one step further. Similar to Luke Bryan and his family, the Aldeans got interactive when they made a short music video as Parton and Rogers.

Dolly and Kenny sang multiple well-known duets throughout their long music careers. The close friends sang together countless times before Rogers’ passed away early last year. Yet one of their most famous duets is 1983’s No. 1 hit song “Islands in the Stream.” The single peaked at the top of Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart that year. And it gave both Rogers and Parton their second number one pop hit.

Brittany and Jason Aldean honored the legendary singers and their famous single in the music video. Jason’s costume includes a black tuxedo, bowtie, and Rogers’ signature white hair and beard. Brittany looks the spitting image of Dolly with her curly blonde hair and 1980s-style black dress as the pair lip sync the No. 1 single.

“Happy Halloween from Kenny and Dolly Aldean,” Jason Aldean wrote alongside pumpkin and ghost emojis.
