WATCH: Maren Morris Saucily Dances on Shirtless Husband Ryan Hurd in Post ACM’s Celebration Video

by John Jamison

Things got steamy for country star Maren Morris and husband Ryan Hurd after the Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday night. Maren was draped all over her shirtless hubby as the pair danced in celebration of a huge night for Maren’s career.

Morris posted the video to Twitter.

The two stars could hardly contain themselves. And their dance was completely warranted. 31-year old Maren Morris won female artist of the year for the second time in a row.

“Thank you so much,” Maren said, accepting the award. “This category is not about who can sing their ass off or entertains the best, even. I kind of considered this category to be who tried their best in a year where it was very weird and no one could really do what they were made to do. But I really appreciate all of my peers for voting for me, it means so much … I love you country music, thank y’all.”

Morris wasn’t done there, however. She also won song of the year for her hit “The Bones.” She almost won single of the year for the song too. In fact, the only other artist with as many award nominations on Sunday was Chris Stapleton. So it’s safe to say it was a huge night for the “I Could Use a Love Song” artist.

Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd Performed Together at ACMs

The pair shared an emotional moment at the award show. They performed their duet “Chasing After You” together. The song marks their first official collaborative effort.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Maren discussed how she felt about performing with her husband.

“I’m so excited because typically I’m trying to find him in the crowd if I’m on stage performing just so I have someone to make eye contact with. And now, it’s like super easy to find him because he’s on stage with me,” Maren said.

Even though “Chasing After You” is their first track together, working on songs is how they got involved in each other’s lives in the first place. In 2013, the couple met while working as writers on a Tim McGraw song called “Last Turn Home.”
