Reba McEntire recently performed some of her greatest hits during the virtual Save Our Stages Festival. Organizers held the event on Oct. 16-18. McEntire was one of 35 artists who participated in the event and performed a 35-minute set.
During the event, McEntire performed in Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium. She performed several songs including “Can’t Even Get the Blues,” “The Fear of Being Alone,” “Rumor Has It,” “Why Haven’t I Heard From You” and also “Fancy.”
The National Independent Venue Association held the festival to raise money for its Emergency Relief Fund. The organization recorded the performances live at more than 25 independent concert venues. The relief fund helps independent venues struggling to stay afloat during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Reba McEntire Has Revisited Her Old Hits Recently
McEntire must be feeling nostalgic as of late. The country singer recently performed a tearful rendition of “Fallin Out of Love” at the Grand Ole Opry as part of their live stream.
On Sept. 11, the artist released a 30th-anniversary edition of her album Rumor Has It. That album was originally released in 1990, with four hit singles. The album featured the aforementioned “Fallin Out of Love,” which reached No. 2 on the Billboard charts. It also featured “Fancy,” which McEntire performed for the Save Our Stages Festival.
“I never imagined I’d get the chance to put out an album for a second time. It’s just so much fun to look back and remember where we were and what we were doing when they were originally released,” McEntire said. “This album, in particular, is very special to me because it was the first time I got to record with Tony Brown and he was the reason I finally got to record ‘Fancy.’ Now here we are 30 years later and I never end a show without singing that song.”
