WATCH: Tim McGraw Posts Hysterical Throwback Video of Band Member Paul Bushnell Dancing

Tim McGraw wished a happy birthday to a close friend and band member Monday by showing a throwback clip of Paul Bushnell being goofy.

And when we say goofy, we’re describing the Bushnell dance, which ends with the musician hopping like a kangaroo. Yes, really. McGraw cracked up laughing in the video.

Bushnell plays guitar in the bands for both Tim McGraw and his wife, Faith Hill. So, he’s like extended family. McGraw calls him “Papa” in his tweet and the video.

McGraw posted on Twitter: “In honor of papa’s birthday Flashback to our time in Australia for C2C.”

Check it out:

In the video, Tim McGraw says: “Hey guys, I’m standing here under the Sydney bridge. Papa’s back there modeling. We just finished our morning workout, getting ready to do a big show for you tonight here in Sydney for C2C.

“We’re having a great time over here. Looking forward to seeing you tonight.”

And because Tim McGraw and Paul Bushnell were in Australia, the video was set to the Men At Work classic: “Who Can It Be Now” from 1981.

So What’s C2C That Tim McGraw Mentioned In Clip?

Tim McGraw headlined the 2019 C2C concert in Sydney. So what exactly is C2C? It’s short for Country 2 Country.

In 2019, the concerts were in Sydney and Brisbane, Australia. Kelsea Ballerini also appeared at the very first C2C Australia. Ballerini’s husband is Morgan Evans, one of the best known country singers in Australia.

The series, which broadens the reach of country music around the world, started in Great Britain in 2013. The first concert was in London. The second was in Ireland. It hit the European continent in 2016, going to Norway, Sweden, Germany and the Netherlands before heading Down Under in 2019.

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have appeared throughout the C2C series. In fact, McGraw made news when he was performing in Dublin in 2018. He collapsed on stage moments after he finished the song “Humble and Kind.” He needed some help getting to his feet.

After about a 20-minute break, Faith Hill told the crowd that Tim McGraw was dehydrated and would not return. She finished the concert, singing “What a Friend We Have In Jesus.”

McGraw, Hill Met Bushnell In Italy

Paul Bushnell probably had a nice time returning to Great Britain for C2C shows over the years. He grew up in Dublin, but moved to the United States in 1991. He’s worked with legends Elton John, Neil Young and Phil Collins.

He told the “Irish Examiner” that he dislikes going on tour. But he said he makes an exception for Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, who he considers good friends.

Bushnell met Tim and Faith a few years back, while one of country music’s best known couples were on vacation in Italy.

Bushnell said: “I played on a Phil Collins record; Tim was on holiday with Faith in Italy and happened to hear it and said, ‘You should have this bass player play with you.’

“A few days later, I was recording with Faith, then I got to play live with her, and that turned into playing live with Tim. They’ve been insanely good to me, and pay me as a studio musician when I’m on the road with them.”

So, we join Tim McGraw in wishing Paul Bushnell a happy birthday!
