Country star Toby Keith is spending time during quarantine making music. His latest snippet is proof that many of his tracks sound great as acoustic versions, too.
The hitmaker took to Instagram to post a quick clip of an acoustic version of his song “God Love Her.” The song is going to appear on his upcoming release Greatest Hits: The Show Dog Years.
“Hear ‘God Love Her’ and other Toby hits on Greatest Hits: The Show Dog Years!” Toby wrote alongside his clip. “The album is discounted on @Amazon for a limited time only, so check it out at the link in bio.”
The 2008 song originally appeared on his album That Don’t Make Me a Bad Guy. It quickly became one of his biggest number one hits on the US Billboard Hot Country songs chart. It follows the singer’s love for a preacher’s daughter, who eventually saves his soul “from the devil.”
For Toby Keith fans, this fun peek behind the curtain should be reason enough to check out the new greatest hits album when it debuts.
Keith has spoken at length recently about how much he misses being out on the road with fans and touring. Hopefully this new release will help to keep fans feeling closer to the artist during the global pandemic.
“Concerts before Coronavirus are starting to feel like fourteen hundred and fifty two beers ago, he wrote. Toby Keith has been staying busy, though. He’s been keeping fans affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in mind by donating money and spotlighting those who enjoy his songs.
