“Yellowstone” star Ryan Bingham has released a new song on Instagram. The Walker actor shared a reflective tune titled “Country Roads” with his followers on Sunday night, adding the hashtag #notdeadyet – perhaps a reference to all that he himself has been through, or perhaps a nod to his wily “Yellowstone” character’s longevity.
“I Wrote this song several years ago out on the rodeo trail,” Bingham posted. “I was living out of a Capri camper with a one eyed blue heeled dawg ;) song is called ‘Country Roads’ hope ya digs ;) #NotDeadYet.”
Ryan Bingham Has Been Busy Touring
When he’s not filming “Yellowstone,” Bingham has been hitting the road. After playing some tour dates this summer, Bingham is set to perform at Billy Bob’s in Fort Worth on Dec. 9. He’s following that up with an appearance at the Mile Zero Festival in Key West on Jan. 26. And on Feb. 26, he’s playing the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo.
And it looks like Bingham is eager to change things up as far as his setlist goes. “Country Roads” stays true to his signature sound while sketching out universal themes – the freedom of an open country road, the disorientation of getting lost far from home. It follows the 2019 release of Bingham’s last album, American Love Song, which Bingham co-produced with Charlie Sexton, an accomplished Austin guitarist who’s a longtime member of Bob Dylan’s touring band.
Watch Bingham perform “Wolves” off that album, which “Yellowstone” fans may recognize from the show’s soundtrack, here:
‘Yellowstone’ Season 4 Is Here, and We Learn a Little More About Walker In It
Season 4 of “Yellowstone” has at last premiered, and in Episode 3 of the new season, we learned a little bit more about Walker.
Spoiler alert: If you haven’t watched Season 4 and want to find out for yourself what happens, read no further.
Jimmy (Jefferson White) survived his fall from a horse, but he broke his promise to John Dutton (Kevin Costner), so he has to go. Dutton sends Jimmy off with rodeo expert Travis Wheatley (Taylor Sheridan), who’s headed for the Four Sixes Ranch in Texas. Jimmy is heartbroken to leave. But then Walker sidles up and shares a few snippets of what he knows about the Four Sixes.
Jimmy learns that the Four Sixes is home to top-notch cowboys. There are no egos there, none of this bullshit, Walker tells Jimmy. And then, the kicker: Walker says that leaving that place is the biggest regret of his life.
Will “Yellowstone” fans get more glimpses into Walker’s past as the season progresses? You’ll have to watch to find out. Catch “Yellowstone” Season 4 Sunday at 8 p.m. ET, exclusively on the Paramount Network.
