Yeti Gets Name-Dropped in More Country Songs Than Dirt Roads, Dogs & Drinkin’

YETI coolers gets name-dropped in more country songs these days than dirt roads, dogs, and drinkin’.

OK, that’s an overstatement. But Yeti has carved out its own ice-cold niche in the country community as the cooler of choice to keep those beverages frosty. Back in the day, Igloo used to get the love from artists like Rascal Flatts, Brad Paisley, and Craig Morgan. But now we’re living in a Yeti world . . . and I’m a Yeti girl, or boy.

Luke Bryan: ‘She Gets Me High’

On top of my Yeti / On an old boat dock / Standing in the river on an old flint rock / Clouds roll by / She get me high.

Penned by Luke Bryan, Jeff Stevens, and Jody Stevens, “She Gets Me High” was part of Luke’s 2014 EP, Spring Break 6. While it wasn’t an official radio single, it did get an official video.

Jason Aldean: ‘Sweet Little Somethin”

Just what I had in mind thinking about the weekend / Standing by the Yeti with the party lights plugged in / Got a jug of feel good going around / There’s just one thing missing, baby, right about now.

“Sweet Little Somethin'” was featured on Jason Aldean’s 2014 studio album, Old Boots, New Dirt. David Lee Murphy, Ben Hayslip, and Marv Green penned the deep cut.

Thomas Rhett: ‘Drink a Little Beer’

Got a Tennessee girl, a Rocky Top breeze / And a big ol’ yellow moon / A new set of strings on my ’69 / And a Yeti full of iced-down booze.

Penned by Thomas Rhett, Jesse Frasure, and Ben Hayslip, “Drink a Little Beer” was included on TR’s 2017 album, Life Changes. The tune features vocals from TR’s dad, Rhett Akins.

Brantley Gilbert: ‘The Weekend’

Backwoods looking like Panama City / A bunch of jacked up trucks and bikinis / Got a Yeti full of good ideas / Like I ain’t worried ’bout driving, I’mma stay right here.

Released as a single by Brantley Gilbert in 2016, “The Weekend” peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. Brantley and Andrew DeRoberts penned the tune. “The Weekend” was certified Platinum by the RIAA in 2018 for sales of 1 million units.

Chris Janson: ‘Buy Me a Boat’

But it could buy me a boat / It could buy me a truck to pull it / It could buy me a Yeti 110 iced down with some silver bullets / Yeah, and I know what they say, money can’t buy everything / Well, maybe so / But it could buy me a boat.

Chris Janson created some waves with his breakout single, “Buy Me a Boat,” which he penned with Chris DuBois. The tune peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart in 2015. The RIAA certified the song as 3X Platinum for sales of 3 million units in 2020.
