Zac Brown Band, Dierks Bentley, Gabby Barrett, Luke Bryan & More Added to 55th CMA Awards Lineup

by Clayton Edwards

This year’s CMA Awards lineup just keeps getting bigger and better. This is the third wave of artists that they’ve announced. Their first announcement contained acts like Carly Pearce, Ashley McBryde, Blake Shelton, and Eric Church. It had a little something for everyone and would have been a great show. Then, they added some more heat with Chris Stapleton, Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, and other huge names. These new additions are taking the night to a whole new level.

The CMA Awards Saved the Best for Last

We all knew that Luke Bryan would host the CMA Awards this year. Additionally, he earned a nomination for Musical Event of the Year.  Now, they’ve announced that he will take the stage to perform his latest single “Up” during the broadcast.

It only gets better from there.

For instance, Dierks Bentley is bringing HARDY and BRELAND to the CMA stage to perform their chill collaboration “Beers on Me.” That might not be the only time you’ll see HARDY on the stage. He’s up for New Artist of the Year.

Gabby Barret is up for four CMA Awards this year. She’ll also take the stage to perform her hit song “The Good Ones” during the show. Additionally, Jennifer Hudson is making her CMA debut. The CMA didn’t reveal what she would perform. However, with a voice like hers, she could sing Amazon reviews and it would be captivating. But wait! There’s more!

The CMA Awards lineup also features Thomas Rhett. He’s up for Male Vocalist of the Year and will prove to the country music world how well-deserved that nomination is with his chart-topper “Country Again.” Then, Keith Urban, the Country Thunder from Down Under, will take the stage to perform his latest single “Wild Hearts.”

Last, but certainly not least, the Zac Brown Band will take the stage to play their anthem of much-needed unification “Same Boat” for the CMA Awards crowd.
