NCIS alum Emily Wickersham once opened up about one of her favorite episodes on the hit CBS action-packed series, which was from the show’s 15th season. Wickersham made her debut on NCIS in 2013 as NCIS Special Agent Eleanor “Ellie” Bishop. She was previously an NSA analyst

While discussing one of her favorite NCIS episodes with CBS News, which was featured during the 2018 interview, Emily says, “That episode, in particular, is one of my favorites because my character actually doesn’t get to go undercover that much. And I was able to play like two other characters in that episode.”

Emily also describes the episode as being different from her usual going to work to just doing regular Bishop stuff. “That was a real treat for me,” the NCIS castmate says.

Also discussing the rest of NCIS’ 15th season, Emily states, “I don’t know [what fans can expect], you’ll have to ask the writers. As far as things go with my character, I think after that episode we’re going to see a little more flirtation with Wilmer [Valderrama’s] character.”

Emily Wickersham Departs From the Series After Nearly 8 Years

Emily Wickersham announced her departure from NCIS on Instagram in May 2021. She states her character was sent on a secret mission during the show’s season 18th finale and isn’t expected to return.

“Hangin’ this hat and jacket up,” Wickersham writes in the Instagram post, which features apparel from the NCIS set. “This cast, this crew, are top-notch.”

Wickersham states she can’t say enough kind words about the NCIS crew which she has been working with for nearly eight years and 172 episodes.  She also describes show business as both finicky and weird. “Consistency is a rarity. I’ve been lucky enough to be a part of a show where I got to show up and act and laugh and learn with wonderful people. A moment in time I surely won’t forget.”

Wickersham joined NCIS after Cote de Pablo’s departure. She describes her replacing de Pablo as intimidating and she was nervous about what fans were going to think about her character. She also reveals in an Instagram Live post with Valderrama that obviously everyone loved de Pablo’s character.
