For 13 seasons, “NCIS” stars Sean Murray and Michael Weatherly were quite a team as Timothy McGee and Anthony DiNozzo. Fans think so, too.

A few of them were thinking about their favorite scenes involving these two characters in the long-running CBS crime drama. “NCIS” has been on for 18 seasons and will return again in the fall. Murray remains with the show in his role, but Weatherly left after 13 seasons.

Still, their connection and chemistry between one another came across in “NCIS” episodes. Fans expressed their fave moments on a Reddit post dedicated to the twosome.

‘NCIS’ Fans Have Fun Pointing Out Some Of Their Favorite Scenes

One fan named LiriStorm wrote, “Um my favourite would be Tony comforting McGee after he shot the undercover cop”.

Another fan, winniwinnidonning, wrote, “I like when they were in a stake-out and had a huge fight over breakfast. Also, when they had a small falling-out when Tony started talking to McCadden more than McGee!”

The original poster of this question, wildfire_48, wrote, “I was referring to a list of the best scenes together. I like it when they take them for a gay couple- What is?-.”

Even after all these seasons, the DiNozzo-McGee team brings some sweet memories to the show’s fans.

Now you might think Weatherly didn’t have any other work on his plate after leaving “NCIS” in 2015. On the contrary. He’s currently starring in “Bull” on CBS, which premiered in the fall of 2016 and remains on the network schedule.

Back to “NCIS” now and Murray. Did you know he’s just one of three main cast actors to have remained with the show since it premiered in 2003? Yep. Obviously, Mark Harmon has been there as Leroy Jethro Gibbs since Day One. In addition, David McCallum as Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard has been a cast member since that point, too.

Murray Needed Some Help From Former Costar Around Remembering Lines

Murray is quite proud of his acting abilities. When you are on a fast-moving TV series in production, there are times when learning a lot of lines wil be important.

He knows this is part of being an actor. “NCIS” isn’t his first acting rodeo at all. But there was one time where an episode that really focused on McGee called upon him to learn a lot of dialogue.

Quite frankly, Murray got overwhelmed by the situation. He even told then-costar Pauley Perrette after they rehearsed their lines that he wasn’t going to remember any of it. Perrette, who played Abby before leaving in 2018, decided to give her buddy a little tip.

“‘Here’s what I want you to do,'” Murray said Paulette told him in an interview with the Chicago Tribune. “‘I want you to take a piece of paper and write your monologue down and I want you to stick it on the computer in front of you and I want you to read it as if you’re saying it to me.'”

Guess what? Murray went through the scene using Paulette’s suggestion. It worked and that’s how Pauley Perrette helped save her costar from having to worry about forgetting his lines.
