“NCIS” closed out its 18th season on Tuesday night, leaving many fans seeking answers to some important, unanswered questions.
For instance, what about the leaked National Security Agency files? Second, what about the kiss between Bishop and Torres?
Obviously, there are many other questions surrounding the last episode this season for “NCIS” and the team. But we’ll focus on these two for now, according to a TVLine.com article.
‘NCIS’ Season Finale Leaves Mystery Questions To Be Solved
Timothy McGee, played by Sean Murray, happened to find some NSA files in a bag of guns he pulled out of an abandoned house. Well, what we do know is that Bishop, played by Emily Wickersham, told Torres, played by Wilmer Valderrama, that Odette, played by Elayn Taylor, planted those files. What does it all mean? We’ll have to wait and see.
Did anyone have “the kiss heard ’round ‘NCIS'” on their Tuesday night bingo card? Sure, there had been a lot of energy between Torres and Bishop. But man, the kiss will linger on in “NCIS” fans’ memories for a time. It’s also an important point because Wickersham has said she is leaving the show.
Now “NCIS” fans also want to know how Gibbs, played by Mark Harmon, managed to escape from his blown-up boat.
We’ll have to wait until next season to get some resolution on these and other lingering questions.
Wickersham Receives Well-Wishes From Cast Members Upon Leaving
As we mentioned earlier, Wickersham is calling it a career at least on “NCIS” in her role as Bishop.
Cast members expressed their love and happiness for having her as part of the show for a period of time.
Wickersham confirmed via Instagram that she was departing the show.
Brian Dietzen, who plays Jimmy Palmer, wrote, “So damn proud of you my friend. Also, I’m gonna miss the hell outta you on set. I can’t wait to see what you do next. Whatever it is, I’ll be there in the front row. Thank you.”
Diona Reasonover, who plays Kasie Hines, wrote, “Thank you for everything, friend.” Maria Bello, who played the departing Jacqueline “Jack” Sloane, posted heart and kissy emojis to her comment while writing, “Love You Em!”
No one knows where Wickersham will take her career next. She played Bishop for eight seasons on the CBS drama. People will want to know if that kiss was the last time Bishop will really show up on “NCIS.” Could she make a comeback down the road after going undercover?
Time will tell.
