‘NCIS: Hawai’i’ Adds ‘Better Call Saul’ Actor Carlin James

CBS’s rookie show, “NCIS: Hawai’i” kicked off just a few weeks ago and already, it’s receiving impressive viewership. On Monday, we head into the third week of the brand new show. And this time, we get to see some new faces alongside our Hawai’i-based “NCIS” team.

As the third brand new episode of “NCIS: Hawai’i” premieres Monday evening, be sure to look for guest star Carlin James of “Better Call Saul.” Additionally starring in hits such as “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” “Dear White People,” and “NCIS: New Orleans,” James announced his appearance on the new show last Friday.

He shared via Twitter: “Ayy so I’ll be showing up on ‘NCIS: Hawai’i’ this coming Monday on CBS!”

He further gushed about his latest experience, sharing, “Very lucky to be a small part of their first season and meet/work with such an incredibly welcoming cast & crew.”

As far as what James’s role is Monday evening during the third episode of “NCIS: Hawai’i,” we can’t be sure. He did not specifically share any information in that regard within his post. Nevertheless, it will be fun to see where this week takes our newest “NCIS” team. Although we’ll have more fun looking for the special appearance of Carlin James.

‘NCIS: Hawai’i’ Star ‘Blown Away’ By Show’s Viewership

“Better Call Saul” actor Carlin James anxiously anticipates Monday night’s debuting episode for “NCIS: Hawai’i.”

Additionally, the show’s leading lady has received an enthusiastic welcome from “NCIS” fans everywhere. Since the new CBS show debuted on September 20th, “NCIS: Hawai’i” has achieved some pretty impressive viewership scores, making us wonder how Monday night’s latest episode will perform.

Regardless, “NCIS: Hawai’i” and the show’s leading lady, Vanessa Lachey, saw an overwhelming welcome for the premiere. The first episode attracted more than 6 million viewers, attesting to the anticipation with which fans had awaited the new series.

The second episode, premiering a week later, did take a dip in viewership scores, coming in with a total of 5.4 million. Still, for a rookie show, those kinds of scores definitely impress.

Following the debut of the second episode of “NCIS: Hawai’i,” the Special Agent Jane Tennant actress shared her excitement on Instagram. Her post featured an ironic photo of herself with an umbrella blown entirely inside out. She captioned it, “I’m BLOWN AWAY!!! Thank YOU for making ‘NCIS: Hawai’i’ #1 in our time slot two weeks in a row! And the highest watched new series!!!”

Monday night’s latest episode will tell us whether or not “NCIS: Hawai’i” maintains its streak.

Vanessa Lachey Makes ‘NCIS’ History

As a whole, “NCIS: Hawai’i” hit screens across the nation with a dynamically explosive premiere. Since then, it’s been outperforming new shows and seeing quite a bit of viewership. However, the new CBS series is unique for other reasons, and it’s not because of its paradise-like setting.

All three of the “NCIS” series prior feature all-male lead special agents. Now, Vanessa Lachey marked a major milestone in the franchise’s history as the first NCIS female team lead.

So far, her adventures have led us through some exciting new cases. As we learn more about her character Agent Tennant, we get to see more of how Lachey and her character are reshaping the franchise and the agency overall for women everywhere.
