‘NCIS: Hawai’i’ Star Vanessa Lachey is the ‘Luckiest Mama’ in Adorable Daughters’ Day Photo with Her Girl Brooklyn

On Saturday (September 25th) NCIS: Hawai’i star Vanessa Lachey took to her Instagram account to celebrate National Daughters Day with an adorable snapshot of her and her daughter, Brooklyn.

“It’s #NationalDaughtersDay and I feel like the luckiest Mama in the world!” The NCIS star declared in the post. “Brooklyn thinks I’m Wonder Woman and I NEVER want to let her down!”

The NCIS beauty then wrote to all the little girls out there and told them they can do anything they want. They can even write their own destiny. “My mother was not in my life after I was around Brooklyn’s age, so more than ever I appreciate ALL the moments.”

Brooklyn is the only daughter of NCIS: Hawai’i actor Vanessa Lachey and her husband, Nick Lachey. The couple got married in 2011 and had their first child in 2012. Along with Brooklyn, Vanessa and Nick have two boys Camden and Phoenix.

The adorable post comes less than a week after the series premiere of NCIS: Hawai’i. The latest NCIS spinoff follows an NCIS team who are based out of the Pearl Harbor Field Office. The team is led by Lachey’s character, Special Agent Jane Tennant. Alex Tarrant, Noah Mills, Tori Anderson, and Jason Antoon also star alongside Lachey in the series.

Vanessa Lachey Talks Moving Her Family to Hawaii For ‘NCIS’ Series

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight earlier this month, Vanessa Lachey opened up about moving Nick and the kids to Hawaii for NCIS: Hawai’i. “It was a talk that I had with my husband. I said, ‘What do you think?’ And he was like, ‘Hawaii, umm, it could be worse.’ And he was like, ‘This is awesome!’”

The NCIS star also stated that her husband has remained absolutely supportive during the whole moving and film process. “But we definitely do try 50/50. When he’s on tour, I try to be home. When I’m shooting something, he tries to be home. So this is working.”

The NCIS beauty further recalled that the kids were absolutely excited about the move to Hawaii. “Because they think that Hawaii is water slides, play. I ask them all the time, ‘Are you happy or no?’ And they’re like, ‘Yeah!’ So they’re very happy here. They love it here.”

Lachey, who has referred to herself as a “military brat” over the years, noted that when it comes to moving and adjustments, kids are more resilient than adults.  “But for my kids [the move is] great because I think that there’s something that you can’t teach your children.”

The NCIS star goes on to add that she just wants her kids to be in a more multicultural lifestyle than they previously were.
