On Saturday (December 4th), NCIS star Katrina Law shared on Instagram a snapshot of her getting into the Christmas Spirit while attending Comic Con in Los Angeles.
“See you soon, Comic Con LA!” the NCIS actress declared in her post, which featured a snapshot rocking a Santa hat with a sparkly red jacket.
Katrina Law joined the cast of NCIS as Special Agent Jessica Knight at the end of the show’s 18th season. In June, CBS promoted her as a regular cast member for the 19th season. Knight was notably the only agent to survive the explosion that killed the rest of the members of the NCIS Regional Enforcement Action Capabilities Team. She helped Mark Harmon’s Gibbs and his crew find the person responsible for the explosion.
According to Knight’s NCIS bio, the character was raised by a single mother. She had to fight for everything in life. “Fiercely tenacious and with a wry sense of humor. Jessica is married to a stay-at-home dad who is raising their infant son.”
Prior to NCIS, Katrina Law appeared on other series, including Hawaii Five-O, Arrow, Magnum P.I., The Oath, Training Day, Spartacus, and CSI: Miami.
Katrina Law Looks Back on Her Career Success Before ‘NCIS’
During a 2019 interview with Pop Culturalist, NCIS star Katrina Law discussed the success of her acting career through the years. “My very first job was an extra on Lucky Numbers, a Nora Ephron film,” she explained. The actress noted that the film was done in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
“I drove two and a half hours to get to Harrisburg to be an extra,” the NCIS castmate continued. “It was in the middle of November. They were like, ‘Well, we need people to jump into the river and get on these floats and act like it’s summertime.’ The water was like, thirty-five degrees. And the air was thirty-six degrees.”
The NCIS actress then reveals that she and the other extras got paid around $50. “I remember I was so excited that I volunteered and I did it. It was one of the best days of my life. Because I was so happy. I love set life.”
The NCIS star says she loves back on that experience. She thinks of how exciting acting really is for her. “There are times where I have to remind myself don’t ever lose that level of excitement. Don’t ever take this industry for granted.”
In regards to getting her role on Spartacus, Law recalls when she received the call for the gig. “ I remember I broke down sobbing when I got the call. My husband, who was my boyfriend at the time, was like, ‘What’s wrong?’ I was like, ‘Nothing. This is so good.’ He’s like, ‘Why are you crying?’ I’m like, ‘I don’t know.’”
