“z i o n,” the NCIS: Los Angeles alum declared in the post. “Can’t be captured. Go to here.”
Smith has been enjoying some much-needed downtime after her departure from NCIS: Los Angeles earlier this year. She left the hit series after playing the role of Nell Jones for more than 10 years.
The former NCIS: Los Angeles star recently just wrapped up her latest project, Someone to Carry You. It is a short film about a woman named Serena. After receiving what is called a hilarious and unpacked text from her childhood best friend, Serena looks back at the story of meeting her first real soul mate, which was Smith’s character, Laura Lee.
Starring in the film with Smith is Cyrina Fiallo, Chris Mollica, Emma Weisbach, Ava Lambraskis, Nora Harriet, and Louise Morgan Weir.
Renée Felice Smith Recalls Her Favorite Moments on the ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ Set
During a May 2021 interview with TV Insider, Renée Felice Smith spoke about her favorite moments on the NCIS: Los Angeles set throughout the years. “Wearing the elf ears. The mistletoe scene with Eric Beale. Riding in the Jaguar with Hetty. Going out and partnering with Eric Christian Olsen.”
Smith also spoke about her NCIS: Los Angeles co-star, Daniela Ruah. “I absolutely love Daniela Ruah as an actor, as a person, as a friend, as a mother, as a dog mom. She is just the most generous, giving scene partner. We have this mutual appreciation for each other.”
Smith then stated that her and Ruah’s NCIS: Los Angeles characters also have a mutual appreciation for each other as well. “So I think that comes through in our scenes. We just have the best time working together.”
While opening up about working with Linda Hunt again for her NCIS: Los Angeles’ character’s farewell scene, Smith admitted it was quite emotional to have Hunt back on set again for their final day of the season.
“She was essentially sidelined by the pandemic this year, so to be able to see her in the flesh, let alone share a scene with her, with the Oscar winner, it was a chef’s kiss. The perfect sendoff.”
However, the NCIS: Los Angeles alum goes on to explain that the scene was really bittersweet for her. She also shared more details about her relationship with Hunt. “Linda is a dear friend of mine. And so to be able to share that time with her was truly a gift. Anytime I can watch her work, it’s like a masterclass.”
