As agent Kelsi Blye on NCIS: Los Angeles, Daniela Ruah brings so much to the show. So, the show took time to highlight their star for all she does.
For NCIS fans, this day might as well be Daniela Ruah day now. With her relationship with Marty Deeks, the depth of the show has only gotten better. There can be action and crimes solved, and that’s great. However, getting to know characters deeper, what makes them tick, and seeing them interact with one another, that’s what keeps fans watching. Blye is integral to the show.
So, over on Instagram, NCIS: Los Angeles took the time to celebrate the actress on her birthday. Check it out below.
“We call it like we see it,” the caption started. “And we see nothing short of a QUEEN. Show some love to the incredible @danielarush on her birthday.”
Fans took to the replies quickly with their praise. Along with many happy birthday replies and comments, there were some pretty big dedications from fans. One viewer replied, “Calling her QUEEN is not enough for what she represents to us! We love you Dani. Happy Birthday!”
It isn’t just portraying Blye that makes Ruah so valuable to NCIS: Los Angeles. She does so much more than that. In fact, she has stepped behind the camera more than once to direct an episode. She has her fingerprints all over this show and fans couldn’t be happier about it. Her working relationship with Eric Christian Olsen just makes everything on screen that much better. When things work, they work. Ruah and NCIS just work.
‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ Star Ruah on Working with Writers
Daniela Ruah just understands that every part of the show needs to be able to work cohesively to put out the best product. The fact that she has experience on both sides of the camera and such a dedication to the show makes her work more enjoyable for fans and the crew involved. She talked about working with the NCIS: Los Angeles writers in the past.
“That’s something that you kind of do in partnership with the writers,” she said. “It’s their job to give the character obstacles and goals, and it’s my job to make them real. I try to make her [Kensi] as human as possible. I want her to react to things as much as I would, or human beings would.”
When NCIS: Los Angeles fans tune into the show, that is what makes them come back. Yes, the drama is heightened and things aren’t exactly as they would be in real life. However, when they can make those real-life moments happen, they do their best to make sure it hits like it should on TV.
