NCIS: Los Angeles star LL Cool J once gave some great advice to co-star Daniela Ruah about eating. The two have starred on the show together for more than a decade. LL Cool J plays Special Agent Sam Hannah while Ruah plays Special Agent Kensi Blye. Just like the rest of the cast, the two have become close after so many years of working together.

As an actress, Ruah has had to deal with intense pressures to look and eat a certain way. But LL Cool J brought up a good point about what truly matters at the end of the day.

“LL COOL J said to me, ‘On your deathbed, are you going to be worrying about how much sugar you shouldn’t have eaten, or are you going to be thinking about the people you love?'” Ruah told CBS Watch Magazine.

Now it seems LL Cool J has helped her figure out some important priorities. The two are set to return to NCIS: Los Angeles for its 13th season. Ruah’s character is in a particularly precarious position, with a dangerous criminal who definitely wants revenge on her on the loose after a presidential pardon

NCIS: Los Angeles Season 13 Will Bring Back a Fan Favorite Character

Last year, people were worried about actress Linda Hunt’s absence from the show, but don’t worry. The Hetty actress is absolutely coming back, and it sounds like she’s very excited. The only reason was gone in the first place was due to COVID-19. As the eldest member of the cast, Hunt was more at-risk for the virus.

Hunt did return for the season finale and immediately brought her enthusiasm.

“She had been gone for so long and hadn’t really interacted with anyone, so she was just so thrilled to be back on set, showrunner R. Scott Gemmill told TV Line. “The minute I saw her, she’s like, “Let’s talk about next season…,” so I think that as tough as last year was, for a lot of reasons, she, like the rest of us, is starting to see a little light at the end of the tunnel and feels good about coming back to work.”

Season 13 will try to better address just what Hetty was up to while she was gone. Her return is definitely needed, considering Renee Felice Smith and Barrett Foa, who played Nell and Eric, have both left NCIS: Los Angeles.

NCIS: Los Angeles will keep the timeslot it had last year, but this time, the season won’t be shortened due to COVID-19. It’ll air along with two other shows in the franchise, flagship NCIS and NCIS: Hawai’i. NCIS: Hawai’i is a brand new show in the series. Both NCIS: Los Angeles and NCIS have crushed it in the ratings. Hopefully, they’ll do so again.
