Which NCIS: Los Angeles star did Marilyn Monroe hold as a baby?

In 1955, Monroe was at a party at Rosemary Clooney’s New York home. In Clooney’s 1999 autobiography, Girl Singer, she revealed a particularly sweet moment between Monroe and her newborn son. Her son is none other than Miguel Ferrer, who went on to star as Owen Granger on NCIS: Los Angeles.

Monroe came to her party with movie director John Huston. Clooney recalled that she only met Monroe once before. The movie icon immediately asked if she could see her baby without even taking off her snow-filled fur coat. She took Monroe to the nursery. She spent over an hour with Ferrer. Her date had to ask Rosemary, ‘What the hell’s she doing up there?’”

Ferrer revealed that the tender moment was one of his mother’s favorite memories and that she enjoyed telling the story to everyone.

“To hear my mother tell it,” he told WXVU. “I started to cry instantly until my eyes opened, and I looked at that face. And I stopped crying, and just stared at her wide-eyed. And I’m told she spent the whole party upstairs with me.”

Clooney passed away in 2002 at age 74 of cancer. She requested that she be released from the hospital so that she could die at home. Similarly, Ferrer died of cancer in 2017 at age 61 surrounded by his family.

The Future of ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’

NCIS: Los Angeles will air its thirteenth season soon. Chris O’Donnell and LL Cool J have been confirmed to return and lead the series. Daniela Ruah has been confirmed to return as Kensi Blye. Eric Christian Olsen will also be returning to the show as Marty Deeks. Fatima Namazi, played by Medalion Rahimi, is expected to return as well.

CBS promoted Gerald McRaney as Ret. Admiral Hollis Kilbride to a series regular for the upcoming season. It is unclear if Linda Hunt, who portrays the iconic character of Hetty, will return.

Nell Jones (Renee Felice Smith) and Eric Beale (Barrett Foa) have left the show. Both of their characters were not killed off, leaving room for guest appearances. When asked if Smith would like to take part in the 300th episode of the show, she said, “of course.”

Foa plans to use his newly found free time to partake in a “theatrical endeavor.”

Meanwhile, Smith released her first children’s book, Hugo and the Impossible Thing. She plans to write, direct, and focus on television development in the future. She also has an independent series in the works.
