Who wouldn’t want to spend the year living and working in Hawai’i’? This “NCIS: Los Angeles” star certainly would.
Despite many shows being cut recently, “NCIS: Los Angeles” is safe and will continue to air on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET. Nevertheless, actor Eric Christian Olsen who plays Detective Marty Deeks on the show is lobbying for a role on the new Aloha State spinoff, “NCIS: Hawai’i.'” It would certainly be convenient. The star already spends his off-season living in Hawai’i with his family. So, a role on the new show would make sense. During an interview, Olsen talked about the possibility of joining the new show.
Alright, so he isn’t joining the show full-time. But Olsen did say that he’d like to make a cameo on the new show.
“It’d be great if I did a cameo on ‘NCIS: Hawai’i‘ but didn’t say anything, I just walked through the back of the shot,” joked Olsen.
In conclusion, if Eric Christian Olsen does know anything about joining the cast of “NCIS: Hawai’i” he’s not revealing any details just yet.
Eric Christian Olsen Stars On ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ With His Sister-In-Law
Although his wife and daughters live in Hawai’i’, Olsen still has family in Los Angeles. His sister-in-law, Daniela Ruah stars along with him on “NCIS: Los Angeles.” Ruah plays Special Agent Kensi Blye on the show. And she met her husband while on set with Olsen. In fact, Olsen introduced her to his brother, David Paul Olsen. During an interview in 2017, Ruah talked about meeting her husband while on the set of the show.
“I met my husband on set. Eric’s brother. It’s his stunt double but also his brother in real life,” said Ruah. “Eric was like ‘You have to meet my brother because you like healthy guys who workout and he likes brunettes with big shoulders.’ And I was like, ‘What?'” joked Ruah.
The two married on June 17, 2014, and have been happily together ever since. The couple has two kids, a son named River Isaac and a daughter named Sierra Esther. But that’s not even the best part. Eric Christian Olsen and his wife Sarah Wright have the same age kids as their brother/sister-in-law.
“I actually felt sorry for Eric because when Sarah was pregnant, I was pregnant so Eric would go home to a pregnant woman and then come to work to a pregnant woman,” said Ruah with a laugh.
Can we get an “NCIS” spin-off show with the entire Olsen/Ruah family?
