September is here, but NCIS: Los Angeles star Daniela Ruah isn’t saying goodbye to Summer. The actress just posted a cute new photo with Sarah Wright Olsen, her co-star and brother-in-law’s wife. Wright is feeding her baby while the two of them drink some tasty-looking juice.
Ruah, along with Sarah Wright’s husband Eric Olsen, are set to play a major role in season 13 of NCIS: Los Angeles. But it’s clear that when the cameras aren’t rolling, they try to have a good time. Ruah originally reposted the photo from Sarah Wright.
“Post pizza relax mode,” she wrote in the caption.
Daniela Ruah plays Her Brother In Law’s Wife on TV
Ruah stars as Kensi Blye on NCIS: Los Angeles. Eric Christian Olsen stars as Deeks. The two play a married couple on the show, but in real life, they are in-laws. Ruah met Eric Olsen’s brother, David while on set of NCIS: Los Angeles. David works behind the scenes and is a stunt man for Eric. The two eventually got married and now, NCIS: Los Angeles is seriously a family affair.
That remains true as the show heads into its 13th season, where Ruah’s Kensi Blye continues her important work with the NCIS team while also trying to grow her family. Kensi and Deeks were unsuccessful when trying to have children in season 12, and that plotline will likely continue over the course of season 13.
There will be a couple of changes to the cast next season. Nell actress Reneé Felice Smith has left the show to pursue other creative ventures. Eric actor Barrett Foa has also made the decision to step away from the show. Meanwhile, Hetty actress Linda hunt will return to her full-time role and Admiral Kilbride Actor Gerald McRaney will join the cast as a regular.
The recent season 13 premiere photos have warmed the hearts of Hetty fans (so literally everyone), showing the character make her grand return. There are also photos of admiral Kilbride. Many are excited to see the dynamic between Kilbride and Hetty this season, as Showrunner R. Scot Gemmill told TV Line that “They’re both very smart and very stubborn, so it makes for a fun and volatile dynamic.”
Kensi, on top of dealing with family problems, is going to have to deal with David Kessler, a serial killer out of prison on a presidential pardon who is obsessed with her. Overall, it’s going to be quite a nail-biter of a season.
NCIS: Los Angeles comes back soon. If you want to catch all the action, you can tune in to the season 13 premiere on Sunday, October 10th.
