‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ Star Daniela Ruah Snaps Epic Family Selfie in the Car With Surfboards in Tow

by Evan Reier

NCIS: Los Angeles star Daniela Ruah has very little space in her family’s packed-out car, and that’s just how she wants it.

The woman behind special agent Kensi Blye is often seen with her adorable family when not on screen. Her and husband David Olsen have two children, and the fam are always up for an adventure.

That is clearly the case in one of the NCIS: Los Angeles star’s latest Instagram post. Featuring the kids as well as some additional friends and family members, Ruah’s newest photo captures the group just before hitting the water.

As is often the case with major celebrities, the post also doubles as an advertisement for Volvo. And as is often the case with Ruah’s posts, the caption is provided in both her native Portuguese and in English.

“When the family is big and active you need space!” Ruah wrote. “Thank you #volvoportugal for this hybrid xc90 that fit everyone, and [occasional] surfboards, or a wheel chair, suitcases, toys, kids carseats… but above all safety and comfort. See you next tiiiime!!!”

Sarah Wright Olsen, the wife of Ruah’s costar and brother-in-law Eric Christian Olsen, can relate to Ruah’s caption. The actor commented on her sister-in-law’s post, saying, “That’s my car!”

NCIS: Los Angeles Star Daniela Ruah Pens Beautiful Father’s Day Message

The one face of Ruah’s family that you can’t see in the above Instagram post belongs to her husband David. He may have been filling up the gas tank or grabbing some last-second supplies. Either way, his absence is a rare one, as the father of Ruah’s children is often all over her posts.

One of the recent examples of this came on Father’s Day. Ruah wrote a touching message to her beau with a plethora of cute photos.

“I tell you often but I’ll say it to the world today,” Ruah started. “You are the dad who listens to his kids, who encourages their sense of adventure, who speaks openly about his passions and fears and talks them through their own. You’re the dad who gives them structure, builds on their strengths and inspires them to work on what is challenging.”

The NCIS: Los Angeles star didn’t stop there. She also added a comment about what her husband brings to her.

“You teach them mental and spiritual strength but also how to throw a good punch,” she continued. “You elevate their humility and self esteem, You encourage ME to take risks and think outside the box, and River and Sierra see that- We love you so much dada, today we celebrate you for who you are to this family. Simply the best!! Happy Father’s Day!”
