NCIS: Los Angeles” star Chris O’Donnell told CBS 9 in an interview that he thinks the show “fits well” with his family-oriented lifestyle.

O’Donnell said filming the show has given his family some “stability” that acting rarely provides. Instead of traveling around the country, O’Donnell said he enjoys working from just one city.

“[The show] fits really well with the place I’m in life,” O’Donnell told the television station. “I’ve got five kids and it’s given me the ability to stay in Los Angeles for a long period of time and give some consistency to their lives. You know, the life of an actor is like a gypsy. You’re always moving around. And, I’ve filmed all over the world. It’s fun and all, but when you have kids, you need to lay some roots.”

“NCIS: Los Angeles” is a drama about the Naval Criminal Investigation Service (NCIS), a law enforcement division tasked with apprehending the most dangerous criminals in the world. O’Donnell, 51, stars as Special Agent G. Callan. He’s the mysterious leader of the Los Angeles office.

O’Donnell has appeared in the show since 2009 and has more than 280 episode credits to his name.

“Having the stability of a show like this has really been a blessing,” O’Donnell said.

NCIS: Los Angeles Takes a Break

COVID-19 impacted the production schedule for “NCIS: Los Angeles” Season 12. Even so, the show was still able to film new episodes. But, safety precautions forced the show’s producers to find creative solutions to protect the actors.

Clearly, with Season 13 on the horizon, fans are wondering what work is being done in preparation for its debut. However, there are not many answers to questions that fans still have.

Rick Turrell, one of the show’s producers, recently posted on Twitter that the production offices have opened. This means there are crew members starting to prepare the sets, lighting, etc. for the eventual filming.

Season 13 Could Reveal There is a Double-Agent in the Office

Season 12 of “NCIS: Los Angeles” ended with an explosive revelation. Serial killer David Kessler was given a full pardon. Clearly, Kessler now has his sights set on getting revenge over Agent Kensi.

However, a recent fan theory proposed that Kessler may have had some help from another one of Kensi’s enemies to pull off the pardon. Of course, this will only increase the drama in the upcoming season.

According to The Express, a fan on Reddit posted that Agent Kessler may have received some information about Densi from Agent Farris.

“Is it me, or does Kessler seem like he got the information about Densi from Ferris?/ I mean it is possible. They did get into NCIS’ Network,” the post reads.

The 13th season of NCIS: Los Angeles will air in September 2021. Similarly, the show is keeping its regular time slot. The show airs on Sundays at 9:00 pm EST on CBS.
