‘NCIS’: Michael Weatherly Looks Back at Epic Moment with Mark Harmon in New Photo

Longtime fans of CBS‘s hit crime drama “NCIS” have been following the progression of Mark Harmon‘s Leroy Jethro Gibbs since the show’s pilot episode in 2003. 19 seasons later, heartbroken fans said goodbye to the show’s headlining character. Harmon’s departure comes as one of “NCIS’s” final blows, with only two of the show’s original characters remaining.

However, despite the trail of departed “NCIS” cast members, many remain connected to the hit show nonetheless. Most recently, following Harmon’s “NCIS” departure, one alum shared an epic throwback post of him and Harmon many moons ago.

Michael Weatherly is iconic for his role as Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo on “NCIS.”

Weatherly shared the photo on Twitter and this Outsider is trying not to cry thinking how long “NCIS” has continued without the fan-favorite character. Check out the epic throwback below.

Weatherly simply captions the photo: “The time this happened: #NCIS.”

We can’t help but wonder if the actor misses the CBS hit show almost as much as we miss him. Regardless, the photo features himself and “NCIS” star Mark Harmon on the cover of the popular magazine, TV Guide, following yet another beloved “NCIS” character’s departure.

The long-ago issue sports the date 2013. As such, it’s almost impossible to comprehend how long it’s been since “NCIS’s” Mossad agent, Ziva David, departed the show.

Years later, fans are still craving a DiNozzo/David reunion and I can’t say I blame them. Fans even commented beneath Weatherly’s post, questioning ideas touching on similar sentiments.

“[A]nd how IS life after Ziva going??” one curious fan wrote. Others reflected on Weatherly’s time on the show, begging the beloved actor to make a cameo.

“It feels like yesterday🥲,” wrote one “NCIS” fan, while another stated, “That was when it was the perfect cast. Loved Tony’s sense of humor.”

While we deliberate the fate of “NCIS” after this season overall, Outsiders nationally can’t help but think back to a happier time when DiNozzo and Gibbs shared the perfect partnership.

New ‘NCIS’ Episode Promises Comic Relief

Outsiders continue to pine for appearances by “NCIS’s” hit stars, especially Mark Harmon and Michael Weatherly. However, the latest episode featuring our newest cast promises some major comic relief, necessary after so many somber episodes.

Of course, our “NCIS” team heads into an investigation surrounding the death of one sailor, marine, etc. or another. However, they seem to go about it in an interesting way.

This week promises an appearance by Special Agent McGee’s wife, Delilah, and her mother Judy. Although the trailer only gives us snippets, we can at least expect some humor between the Judy character and McGee. Check it out.

If that doesn’t already have you prepared for some laughs this week, I don’t know what does. However, if Judy promises to make things as awkward in the rest of the “NCIS” episode that she does in the trailer, than this week is shaping up to be really good for Outsiders and really uncomfortable for McGee.
