‘NCIS: New Orleans’ Alum Lucas Black Declares American Flag ‘Greatest Symbol’ of Freedom in Fourth of July Message

by Samantha Whidden

Sharing his pride for the U.S.A., NCIS: New Orleans alum Lucas Black took to his Twitter account to proclaim that the American flag is the “greatest symbol” of freedom.

Lucas Black also discusses his love for the country in a recent Instagram post.

“We are a blessed Nation!” Black begins the post. He says that the country is blessed because the forefathers “got it right” when they put in the Declaration of Independence, quoting it as well. “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal. That they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights. That among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”

Lucas Black then claims that the forefathers knew the country’s rights came from God and not by man, the President, a senator, or congressman. “They knew He was in charge.” Black states, referring to God. He also describes America as a “beacon of hope” all over the globe. Black claims people are dying to get into the country because America is the “freest greatest Nation in the World.”

Lucas Black then adds, “I hope today you celebrate like never before and always remember the courageous who came before you and paid the ultimate sacrifice for us to be free. Let’s fight for the cause of Freedom. God bless you and your family on this Independence Day!!”

The post also features Lucas Black posing next to an American flag with the Declaration of Independence written on it. He is wearing a hat that says “Capitalist.”

Lucas Black Speaks His Mind About Several Controversial Topics in School

Lucas Black doesn’t seem to have any problems sharing his opinion on social media. Last month, Black expressed his thoughts about some controversial topics being discussed in schools.

In the Instagram post, Lucas Black claims that homeschooling will continue to be considered by more families for “many” reasons. “Parents have had enough indoctrination that has been going on for too long,” Black says.

“For some states to allow this in school curriculums is beyond child abuse,” Lucas writes. He notes that his neighbor, who is a kindergarten teacher, is teaching kids about race and says it’s “absurd.”

While discussing sex education, Lucas Black reveals more parents are attending Board of Education meetings to protest that curriculum as well. Lucas then says that he and his wife will be the ones to teach their children about sex.

“Not TV, not movies, not music, no part of culture today, and definitely not in schools,” he announces. Lucas also calls the books being read and what’s being taught about sex in schools is appalling to him.
